What to see?

From El Catey Samaná International Airport (AZS)

This would be the best option due to its closeness, it is just 20 minutes from Las Terrenas. There are direct flights from Paris, from December 25th until the beginning of April, and there are also numerous weekly flights from Canada with Air Canada or Toronto Westjet.

Usually there is no regular transportation service from the El Catey airport to Las Terrenas. If you take a taxi the prices are normally between USD 80 and USD 90. Make sure that the driver is taking the toll road, it saves you 25 minutes of the journey.

From Las Americas International Airport (SDQ)

This other option is 2 hours away from Las Terrenas, it is a toll road which is in good condition. The prices for the taxis are around USD 190 and USD 220. You can also take the bus for less than USD 10. Unfortunately the bus does not stop at the airport, but the bus station is just 10 minutes away by taxi.

Transportation in town

Las Terrenas is a small village, to most of the places you can walk by foot. If you do not like to walk you can also take a moto concho (moto taxi) . The prices are around 50 pesos during the day and 100 pesos at night. If you would like to go a little further, e.g. to Playa Bonita or Playa Cosón, you should take a taxi, because it is safer and more confortable. The price is approximately USD 15 and USD 25.

You can also rent a scooter (pasola) or a vehicle. In Las Terrenas are numerous rental car companies. If you are interested just let us know to recommend an agency.
